Our solar power solutions

We understand that commercial clients have various reasons for investigating solar energy companies in Auckland. For some, moving to a renewable energy source is important for living up to sustainability goals, which can include achieving specific environmental accreditations. For others, solar energy is a way to trim operational costs and better manage daily energy use. Whatever is driving you towards installing rooftop solar panels at your premises, Solarvision has the expertise and experience to make it happen.  The majority of our solutions are grid-connected solar systems, however we can also build off-grid solar systems for lifestyle properties.

The benefits of solar for business

Using a solar rooftop array to generate a significant portion of the electricity your business needs is a way to reduce operating expenses and neutralise the effects of rising energy costs.

Moving to a solar installation will help you to attract customers who want to partner with environmentally-responsible vendors. Research shows that a growing number of consumers make their buying decisions based on companies' environmental responsibility.

A solar power plant on your roof can help you to achieve valuable sustainability accreditations, such as ISO 14001, CEMARS, carboNZero and Enviro-Mark Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.

How does a grid-connected solar system work?

A grid connected solar system gives you the best of both worlds. You can use the natural resource of solar power when it’s available, then use grid power when your needs exceed solar power generation. When you generate more solar power than you can use, the unused energy is fed directly into the power grid. You will be paid for any energy you contribute to the power grid, which will offset the cost of power you take from the grid. Because of its flexibility, a grid connect installation is the most common type of commercial solar system used in New Zealand.
